MEETING FEBRUARY 6TH!!!

The GCA (Gilchrist Community Association) will be holding an open meeting with GLO (General Land Office) representatives to obtain feedback and ideas from GCA members and the community in regards to the possible closing of Rollover Pass and what the future could hold for us. The meeting will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2:00pm in the High Island school gymnasium.

The GLO has proposed piers and a boat ramp in the area of the pass if it is closed and we would like to have everyone's input. This is an open meeting with all members and the public invited. We are also extending an invitation to Judge Yarbrough, Patrick Doyle, other members of Galveston County, the Core of Engineers and the Texas Parks and Wildlife. Please invite everyone, including your fishing buddies (who this will impact as much as our community) to attend. This will be an excellent opportunity for everyone to have input on the future of Bolivar Peninsula. With everyone's input, we can make great things happen for our community.

Sincerely,

GCA Board of Directors
